Serotone

Privacy policy

Last updated 14 September 2026

Serotone is a music player for files you already own. It does not collect, store or share personal data. This page explains what the app does with your information, which is very little.

What we collect

Nothing. Serotone has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no servers of its own. We never receive your name, email, location, device identifiers, listening history or any of your files.

What stays on your device

Deleting the app deletes all of this. There is no copy anywhere else.

Permissions

Purchases

Serotone Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details or any personal information about you. Apple's own privacy policy governs the transaction. The app stores a local flag that Pro is unlocked, and "Restore purchase" asks Apple to confirm it.

Files you open from other apps

When you share or open an audio file into Serotone from Files, AirDrop or another app, the file is copied into the app's storage. Nothing about the source is recorded or sent anywhere.

Children

Serotone does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it collects no information at all.

Changes

If a future version adds anything that touches your data, such as crash reporting, this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the date at the top will change.
